
On June 11, Monastir, Tunisia, played host to the closing ceremony of phase one of the TUI FutureShapers program. The event was a grand celebration, bringing together representatives from the TUI Care Foundation, Mentor Arabia, the University of Monastir, esteemed journalists, mentors, and mentees.
The ceremony highlighted the achievements of the 21 mentoring groups, which included around 250 female mentees who have shown remarkable growth and potential throughout the program. The event was meticulously planned, with an agenda that kept the attendees engaged and inspired.
The closing ceremony was a memorable event filled with inspiration and celebration. Hosted by one of the dedicated mentors participating in the program, the event commenced with her warm opening remarks that set a positive tone for the day.

Mr. Alexander Panczuck, the Executive Director of TUI Care Foundation delivered a compelling speech about the foundation’s vision and the significant impact of the FutureShapers program. This was followed by Mr. Bechara Ghaoui, the Deputy CEO of Mentor Arabia, who shared insights into the organization’s mission and the importance of their collaboration with TUI Care Foundation. Prof. Kamal, Vice President of the University of Monastir, also expressed his enthusiasm for the program and the university’s commitment to supporting such valuable initiatives.
The audience was then treated to a recap video showcasing the journey and milestones of phase one of the program. This visual representation was a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved.
Before launching the much-anticipated entrepreneurship competition, the Mentor Arabia courses platform was introduced, encouraging participants to register and watch its first course, “Threads of Entrepreneurship“, along with various courses in the TUI e-learning academy. This aimed to better prepare the mentees for the social entrepreneurship competition.

The ceremony continued with heartfelt testimonials from both mentors and mentees who highlighted personal growth stories and the transformative impact of the mentoring relationships.
The ceremony culminated with the partners handing out certificates to the mentees, celebrating their achievements and dedication throughout the program. This proud moment marked the completion of an important phase in the mentees’ journeys.
The event ended on a high note with a networking reception, providing a valuable opportunity for attendees to connect, share experiences, and discuss future collaboration possibilities.
