Second Edition

The Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Al-Jabri, sponsored the closing ceremony of the “Mentor Arabia Short Films for Youth” competition in its second edition, in partnership with the Ghiras Awareness Program and the Kuwaiti National Youth Project, at the initiative of the Amiri Diwan, with the aim of raising awareness for youth against risky behaviors in general and the role of Art in shedding light on imminent issues in our society.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Saud Al-Babtain, representing His Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Mentor Arabia, and a group of prominent artists in Kuwait and the Arab world.

For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Information, Muhammad Al-Jabri, highlighted what the State of Kuwait is doing by targeting the adolescents and youth category through initiatives and projects that encourage youth creativity in presenting ideas to address the challenges they may face, especially issues related to their health.

The ceremony was supported by VIVA Communications, Ahli United Bank, and Al-Babtain Group of Companies. In view of the effectiveness of social media and its important role in spreading positive behaviors among young people, the competition hashtag #encourage_your_youth was used in all publications that were published on social media during the ceremony.
