Under the patronage and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, Mentor Arabia, in partnership with the Royal Film Commission Jordan, concluded the 6th edition of its Youth Empowerment Films & Songs Competition on October 6, 2026, at the Amman Academy Theatre in Jordan.
Held under the theme “Healthy Communication,” the ceremony welcomed more than 500 attendees, including cultural, artistic, social, media, and youth figures, alongside representatives of relevant institutions and organizations.
During the ceremony, HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein was honored in recognition of his achievements in youth empowerment, his belief in young people’s potential, and his support for cultural, artistic, and sports initiatives.
The event also celebrated 15 talented young people aged 18 to 30 from across the Arab world, whose submissions were recognized across six categories: Narrative Short Films, Documentary Short Films, PSA Films, Animated Films, Songs, and Podcasts. Additional recognition included the Best Jordanian Submission award and the Outstanding Music Award, presented to the Amman Chamber Orchestra within the Artistic Creativity category.
Since its launch in 2017, YEFSC has grown into a regional platform that encourages young Arab filmmakers and musicians to create impactful films and awareness songs addressing social and humanitarian issues. Beyond recognizing creative excellence, the competition offers young people a safe space to express their perspectives, concerns, and aspirations through artistic expression.
Across its six editions, the initiative has attracted more than 6,500 young participants and recognized 60 winners. Its specialized training programs, delivered by artists and industry professionals, have also benefited more than 300 young people.
Through such an initiative, Mentor Arabia continues to advance its mission of empowering children and youth to lead healthy lives and make informed decisions. By placing healthy communication at the center of this edition, the competition reaffirmed the role of creativity in raising awareness, fostering understanding, and inspiring positive change.
Mentor Arabia extends its sincere appreciation to the Royal Film Commission Jordan, its partners, sponsors, jury members, participants, and all those who contributed to the success of the 6th edition.
