Marwa Yehia, Programs Associate at Mentor Arabia, participated in the European Prevention Curriculum (EUPC) Train of Trainers (ToT), held in Lisbon, Portugal, from 6-9 October 2026, organized by the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA).

The training focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of evidence-based prevention, including how to assess prevention interventions, interpret evaluation findings, and apply scientific evidence to prevention policies and programmes. It also covered key prevention areas, including family-based prevention, and highlighted the importance of intervention quality, effective implementation, and adapting prevention approaches to different contexts while maintaining their core components.

Participation in the training supports Mentor Arabia’s commitment to promoting evidence-based prevention approaches and strengthening the quality of its prevention and capacity-building work across the region. The knowledge gained will inform the development and implementation of programmes and contribute to sharing evidence-based practices with relevant teams and partners.

Through this participation, Mentor Arabia continues to invest in professional development and strengthen its technical capacity in prevention, with a focus on translating research and evidence into practical approaches that support healthier and safer communities.
