Mentor Arabia, in partnership with TUI Care Foundation and the University of Monastir, hosted the Rising Entrepreneurs Award Competition on June 4, 2026; a milestone event under the TUI Future Shapers Project that brought together young women entrepreneurs to showcase their vision for a more innovative and sustainable tourism sector in Tunisia.

The competition welcomed 15 participants, each presenting an original entrepreneurship project addressing a specific need within the tourism industry. Ideas were evaluated across five key criteria: innovation and uniqueness, project feasibility, tourism relevance, social impact, and sustainability and scalability. Each participant delivered a three-minute pitch followed by feedback and guidance from a panel of three expert judges: Ms. Hanane Kalakesh representing Mentor Arabia, Mr. Mohammad Anas from TUI Care Foundation, and Ms. Salma Zone from the University of Monastir.

The event was attended by senior representatives from all three partner organizations, including the President and Vice President of the University of Monastir alongside project coordinators.

Following the individual presentations, the judging panel convened to deliberate and select four winning projects from among the 15 competing ideas. The winners are set to be announced at the project’s upcoming closing ceremony, building anticipation and celebrating the journey of all participants.
