On the 24th of February, Mentor Arabia participated in the webinar “Reducing Drug-Use-Related Offenses Through Health-Centred Approaches,” organized by ISSUP in collaboration with PRO Youth.

On March 3rd 2026, Mentor Arabia participated in the webinar “Strengthening Prevention Through Quality Standards: The Example of the European Drug Prevention Quality Standards (EDPQS),” organized by ISSUP.

The session emphasized the critical role of quality standards in ensuring that prevention programs are evidence-based, ethical, and effective. Experts presented the European Drug Prevention Quality Standards (EDPQS) as a comprehensive framework guiding all stages of prevention programming; from needs assessment and design to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.

The discussion highlighted how adopting structured quality standards enhances program credibility, strengthens accountability, improves resource efficiency, and supports long-term sustainability. It also underscored the importance of building the capacity of prevention professionals to maintain high-quality implementation.

The webinar reinforced the value of embedding quality assurance mechanisms within prevention initiatives; principles that closely align with Mentor Arabia’s commitment to delivering impactful, evidence-informed youth empowerment programs.
