Mentor Arabia participated in the ISSUP webinar titled “Integrated Support for Co-occurring Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders”.
The session highlighted the importance of adopting integrated, holistic approaches when addressing individuals experiencing both mental health and substance use disorders. Experts emphasized that fragmented services often limit effectiveness, while coordinated care models improve treatment outcomes, continuity of support, and overall well-being.
The discussion also underscored the need for early identification, stigma reduction, and cross-sector collaboration among health, social, and community services. Practical insights were shared on designing person-centered interventions that respond to the complex and interconnected needs of affected individuals.
The webinar reinforced the importance of comprehensive and integrated prevention and treatment approaches; principles that align with Mentor Arabia’s commitment to promoting mental health, resilience, and well-being among youth and communities.
