The Mentor Arabia Team went on a staff retreat from January 9th till the 16th to the heart of Aseer, were we learned, explored, and reflected. Our journey was more than a visit, it was a rich experience showing how heritage, creativity, and nature come together to empower youth and shape the future.

We started at Al-Qatt Al-Aseeri Museum (Fatimah Museum), where walls tell the stories of women who painted identity with colors, a living heritage proudly recognized by UNESCO. Then we discovered Seven Project – Abha, a space blending modern entertainment with authentic design, inspiring the future of tourism and leisure in the region. We met Shaabana, a living example of compassionate leadership and human responsibility. At Honey Cottage in Rijal Almaa, we savored over 40 types of honey while enjoying the serene beauty of nature. At Murbat Al-Tayeb, we witnessed passion meeting tradition, as Arabian horses embody the region’s rich heritage. Our team explored The Cultural House – Ahad Rafidah, a vibrant hub for knowledge, arts, innovation, and youth empowerment. We experienced warmth and contemporary spirit at Majlis Assas, where culture, food, art, and community meet. At King Khalid University, we saw firsthand how education and innovation grow while honoring heritage, from the library to the Business Innovation Center.
During a professional exchange with the Aseer Development Authority, we explored youth initiatives, including Tharaa Community, and experienced knowledge sharing as a key pillar for youth empowerment.
We ended our journey with a hike up Jabal Sawda, Saudi Arabia’s highest point, drawing inspiration and strength from nature’s grandeur.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who welcomed us, shared their expertise, and opened the doors to Aseer’s heritage and the creativity of its youth.
