Mentor Arabia in collaboration with the Crown Prince Foundation closes the Career Inspiration Program with a panel entitled, “Social Entrepreneurship: Balancing Profit with Purpose”

In partnership with the Crown Prince Foundation, Mentor Arabia, hosted the Career Inspiration Program Closing Event on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Colombia College in Amman – Jordan. The event entailed an inspiration panel entitled, “Social Entrepreneurship: Balancing Profit with Purpose” with esteemed speakers in the social entrepreneurship field in Jordan.

The event was attended by over 80 young Jordanians who participated in the Career Inspiration Program as well as key partners who supported the program.

The panelists included experts in the field of entrepreneurship: Dina Saoudi, Co-Founder of Seven Circles, Lina Al Khaled, Tourism & Sustainability Consultant, Mohammad Obeidat, Director Queen Rania Centre for Entrepreneurship, Dr. Sami Hourani, Founder & Executive Director Leaders of Tomorrow, Rezeq Asali, Chief of strategy and EIR The CORE @ HTU and General Partner, Hea Ventures.

Career Inspiration Closing Event Panelists

During the panel, speakers emphasized the growing trend of mission-driven businesses that aim to address social issues while remaining financially sustainable. They discussed the challenges of securing funding and scaling impact without compromising core values. The panel also highlighted the importance of building a supportive ecosystem, including collaboration with governments, NGOs, and the private sector, to foster innovation and drive systemic change in the social entrepreneurship landscape.

In 2023, Mentor Arabia and the Crown Prince Foundation forged a powerful partnership with a shared vision of empowering youth in Jordan. Through this collaboration, the two organizations aim to create a transformative impact on the lives of young people across Jordan. By combining their expertise, resources, and networks, they work together to provide comprehensive support, mentorship, and opportunities for the youth in Jordan. As the main implementing and outreach partner, the Crown Prince Foundation and Mentor Arabia implemented their first joint program, the Career Inspiration (CI) Program. TUI Care Foundation, Zain Jordan, and ST5 Care supported the initiation of the program.

The Career Inspiration (CI) Program is a mentoring program that was launched 26 years ago and implemented in Sweden, the Arab region, and other countries in Europe and the USA. Furthermore, it presents or exposes the young people (mentees) to various fields of work and careers and provides them with guidance and mentorship by professionals (mentors) from diverse backgrounds.
