Under the patronage of the Ministry of Education in Libya, Mentor Arabia took part in the ‘First International Conference on Drugs and Narcotics and its Effects on Families and Communities’ in Tripoli in November. Bechara Ghaoui, Deputy Executive Director of Mentor Arabia, met with educators and social workers to shed light on the importance of substance use prevention programs in educational institutions. Bechara also presented to the heads of educational institutions Mentor Arabia’s evidence-based prevention programs and how to tackle substance use within schools, with the support of families.
