Let’s Swim to the Shores of Safety, Addiction Free!

On 22 June, the Civil Council Against Addiction in Saida, in partnership with Mentor Arabia, and under the sponsorship of the Municipality of Saida, organized a swimming race; under the title “Lets’ Swim to the Shores of Safety, Addiction Free”; which aimed at spreading awareness among youth about the dangers of drugs; and encouraging them to pursue a healthy lifestyle, such as swimming.

On 22 June, the Civil Council Against Addiction in Saida, in partnership with Mentor Arabia, and under the sponsorship of the Municipality of Saida, organized a swimming race; under the title “Lets’ Swim to the Shores of Safety, Addiction Free”; which aimed at spreading awareness among youth about the dangers of drugs; and encouraging them to pursue a healthy lifestyle, such as swimming.

Participants in the race included 60 people from different age groups and 20 men from the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces. The race included a big ceremony attended by public and official figure, representatives from social and sports clubs, health authorities, Red Cross, CSOs and the mass public.

Other activities were also on display during the race, such as songs and anthems sang and played by local scouts, and folklore dancing by a Palestinian dance group.
