Awareness Among Young Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

Mentor Arabia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Lebanon, which focuses on the empowerment of social workers at the Ministry by developing their knowledge and skills to be able to raise awareness and lead various initiatives on drug prevention and healthy life skills in the different Regions of Lebanon.

In order to halt the spread of drugs in Syrian refugee camps, Mentor Arabia and in partnership with DELTA and the Union of Relief and Development Agencies organized workshops and awareness activities in Baraem Al Sham School in Taalbaya in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon.

The overall goal of this project was to increase the knowledge and awareness on the importance of drug prevention and risky behaviors, where more than 200 students aged between 5 and 17 took part.

One of the most important outcomes of this project was to provide a large number ofyouth and parents with the necessary life skills to limit risky behaviors, and increase knowledge through fun and interactive workshops and activities.
