Mentor Arabia, in partnership with War Child Holland in Lebanon, launched the ‘Youth Academy’ program, which had already seen success after its implementation in Jordan, Sweden and Germany. The program aimed at building the life-skills of young people aged 15 to 24 years, enhancing their resilience towards avoiding risky behaviors. In addition, the program aims at building capacities of the youth to establish an enabled group of youth peer educators to provide personal and career development sessions. The program was implemented through two training workshops in the North Governorate in November 2021, where Mentor Arabia trained a group of 40 young educators to enable them to implement the program amongst their peers.
