Mentor Arabia participated in the Investing in Evidence-Based Prevention (IEP) Workshop from July 1st till the 8th, organized by the Society of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP). The two-day interactive workshop focused on strengthening participants’ capacity to advocate for greater investment in evidence-based prevention by demonstrating its health, social, and economic value.

Throughout the workshop, participants explored approaches for communicating the benefits of prevention to policymakers, funders, and decision-makers, while examining how scientific evidence, economic evaluations, and implementation data can be used to build compelling investment cases for prevention. The sessions also encouraged peer learning through the exchange of practical experiences, challenges, and lessons learned from different countries and contexts.

Mentor Arabia’s participation reflects its continued commitment to strengthening its technical expertise in prevention science, promoting evidence-based decision-making, and advocating for sustainable investment in prevention systems and interventions across the Arab region.
