On November 12 and 13, Mentor Arabia proudly took part in the launch of UNESCO’s Strategic Framework for Education in Emergencies in the Arab Region, a high-level event convening ministers, UN agencies, international organizations, and regional partners to strengthen safe, inclusive, and resilient education systems.

As part of the program, Mentor Arabia led the Youth Engagement Segment, titled “Reimagining Education Through Youth Leadership,” spotlighting the voices and lived experiences of young people across the Arab region; many of whom have been affected by crisis and displacement. Mentor Arabia invited youth leaders from its regional network working in education and youth development, enriching the dialogue and highlighting education’s vital role as a source of hope, identity, and protection.

Additionally, Mentor Arabia’s CEO and Board Member, Mrs. Thuraya Ismail, participated in the high-level panel “Empowering Youth in Crisis: Skills Development, TVET, and Higher Education for Resilience and Recovery.” The discussion explored how TVET and higher education can equip crisis-affected youth with essential life skills, 21st-century competencies, and employability pathways that foster resilience, social cohesion, and long-term recovery.
