On June 25, Mentor Arabia was honored to participate in the launch event of CARE’s “Ground Truths: How Communities Define and Demand Safety from GBV” Safety Audit report in Lebanon. This important event amplified community voices and highlighted the need for safer, more inclusive environments for all.

The panel brought together experts who highlighted key challenges in GBV protection, including access barriers for marginalized groups, funding shortages that threaten program continuity, and the need to balance urgent community needs with sustainable solutions. They also emphasized the impact of cultural and linguistic differences on safety perceptions and stressed the importance of inclusive, community-led approaches to effective GBV interventions.

A moving performance by Betty Taoutel brought the voices and experiences of survivors to the forefront, reminding attendees of the human realities behind the statistics.
