
Objective
To reduce risky behavior like drug use among children aged 9 to 14 years old by teaching their parents effective prevention skills before their children enter adolescence.
Outcomes of the Project
Parents of 9-14 year old children improved their knowledge, attitudes and skills in relation to parenting of adolescents.
The capacity of parents of 9-14 year old children increased to play a more effective protective role in the prevention of drug use.
A network of trained parents developed to raise awareness in the society about the important role parents play in drug prevention.
