Mentor Arabia and DELTA support environment protection

Mentor Arabia Foundation, in cooperation with the Lebanese Association for Education and Training and Development "Delta", organized a series of awareness workshops and activities for the displaced Syrian children and young people in the district of Aley, at the Aley Elementary Public School, under the title "The environment is calling ... let us heed the call."

Mentor Arabia Foundation, in cooperation with the Lebanese Association for Education and Training and Development “Delta”, organized a series of awareness workshops and activities for the displaced Syrian children and young people in the district of Aley, at the Aley Elementary Public School, under the title “The environment is calling  … let us heed the call.”

The overall objective of this activity is to enable displaced Syrian students about life and health skills and increase the knowledge and awareness they have about the importance of reducing risky behaviors, by filling their free time with purposeful artistic, cultural and environmental activities. Hence the idea of ​​”environment protects us” highlights the importance of the campaign and to come closer to nature and to do outdoors activities to develop a sense of individual comfort and to stay away from risky behaviors. More than 100 students between the ages of 11 and 15 years participated in the awareness workshops, which aimed to enhance their knowledge about preventive healthy lifestyle.

His Royal Highness, the President of the Mentor Arabia Foundation, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, visited the school to salute the efforts of the students on December 13, 2016. The students exhibited their art works and presented poetry poems.

The ceremony was followed by a lunch at the home of the Minister of Agriculture Mr. Akram Chehayeb, who paid tribute to the importance of respecting the environment among youth because of the good impact it has on their behavior in the future.
