The 2nd MENAHRA Regional Conference on Harm Reduction

Mentor Arabia attended the 2nd MENAHRA Regional conference on Harm Reduction took place between the 12th and 15th of November at Hilton Hotel. It is an open forum that aims at developing the services and exchanging experiences and research results among people who work in this field throughout the Middle East and North Africa region, in an effort to create new successful plans and programs that suit the culture of our region.

Mentor Arabia attended the 2nd MENAHRA Regional conference on Harm Reduction took place between the 12th and 15th of November at Hilton Hotel. It is an open forum that aims at developing the services and exchanging experiences and research results among people who work in this field throughout the Middle East and North Africa region, in an effort to create new successful plans and programs that suit the culture of our region.

A film festival took place in parallel to the many workshops, lectures, and dialogue spaces during the conference.

Many subjects were tackled in the lectures like “Resourcing harm reduction”,  “religion and harm reduction” “ The war in Syria and the Drug Bomb” ,”HIV and Aids in Afghanistan” “Peer education”.

Participants were from various regional and international organizations: GWATM, GTZ, WHO, UNAIDS, International HIV/AIDS Alliance, DROCOS, CSOs, AHRF, RANAA, HRI, IDPC, representatives from the support groups of PWUD and PLHIV and more
